In North Carolina we make sure that each bale is uniformly packaged for the consumer. We make every effort to provide a bale of longleaf mulch that is free of debris and that is consistent in size. Some of our bales are baled mechanically and others by hand. Many factors affect the raking and baling process such as topography, soil conditions, wildlife habitat protection and tree stand density.
If you own longleaf pine forest land consider allowing
a professional pine needle producer to harvest your longleaf pine
straw. This could reduce your loss of timberland to wildfires
while providing some annual income from the straw that is harvested.
